Meet Sarah

Howdy.  Here’s a list of things I proudly am:

• friendly
• crafty
• creative
• easily excitable
• obsessed with cleaning
• obsessed with being organized
• good-humored
• tall
• always caffeinated

And here’s a list of things I’m definitely not:

• type-A
• messy
• a good cook
• an “under” toilet paper person
• short on ideas
• close-minded
• inclined to camp where bears may be present
• perfect

When I think about the things I’ve done that have given me the greatest satisfaction, they are all commonly bound by one of two threads – home or pretty.  To spotlessly clean a home makes me feel good.  When I finally figured out the best arrangement of books, trinkets and candles on top of the entertainment center, I felt so victorious.  Buying a gift and presenting it creatively is always so much fun.

Using my own two hands to manipulate, transform, or beautify something to the point that it illicits a positive emotional response from the user or recipient never gets old.  Nobody taught me how or what to do, it’s just…how I’ve always been.  As for cleaning and organizing, I honestly believe you can’t have one without the other and they’re sort of like going to the bathroom:  you don’t wait to do it.

Making home pretty (or less chaotic, or funky, or clean!) is what I’m all about.  Mine or yours, it matters not.  Knowing that the lives of others have been positively affected by presenting a healthy, positive, entertaining, relaxing living space that best represents those who occupy it is a wonderful reward.
